Vintage softcover artist technique instruction book entitled “Textile Designs by Rosalie” by Rosalie Denney. Book One. Fruitland, Ohio. There is no date printed, but I believe this item dates from the 1940s. There are 42 unique designs including birds, dogs, flowers, neckties, cowboy, men, women, pixies and more. “Textile painting needs no introduction to most of you who will use this book. These designs are intended for use in free brush work. Almost all textile painters are anxious to create their own freehand work after they have had some experience with stencils. These designs may be used for other types of handcraft, such as leather tooling, wood-burning, etc. They have been planned with an eye to flexibility.” 42 pages. The pages have a 3-hole punch on the left margin. Measures approximately 9-1/2 x 12 inches. Condition is used. There is overall wear to front and back covers and spine including fading, discoloration, light soiling and corner creasing. There is some tearing on the spine.
