Created with the needs of high-end preservation mounting in mind, this Acid-Free foamboard is perfect for archiving and framing. The center is made from extruded polystyrene with acid free paper facers. Each board has two mounting surfaces with no harmful gasses or pollutants. Warp resistant, and dent resistant to retain a consistent thickness. Perfect for artists, photographers, and professional or home framers alike. Made in compliance with PAT standard, the liners have a ph value ranging from 7.5 to 9.5 and are buffered with 3% to 5% calcium carbonate reserve to maintain its acid-free characteristics for longer. Liners are made from 100% high alpha cellulose virgin pulp; free from post-consumer materials.

Heat Activated foamboard features an extruded polystyrene core with clay coated liners. One liner features a smooth clay-coated paper, perfect for printing. The second liner features a neutral pH heat activated adhesive. Our heat activated foamboards are designed for use in mechanical and hot vacuum presses as well as heated roll laminators. Adhesive bonds at 160°F in 15 – 45 seconds in a mechanical press; 160°F in 4 minutes in a hot vacuum press; and 280°F – 290°F at a speed of 1-1/2 to 3 feet per minute using a hot roll laminator. Ready right from the box, no need for mounting tissues or films.

High-Tack Pressure Sensitive foamboard features an extruded polystyrene core with clay coated liners. One liner features a smooth clay-coated paper, perfect for printing. The second liner features a high tack self-adhesive film covered by a protective release paper. Manual application is quick and easy, just peel and stick but beware, this foamboard features an aggressive adhesive that immediately grabs onto photo media and smooth paper, so getting the placement right on the first try essential. Once applied, simply manually burnish the surface and then place in a cold vacuum frame or through cold rollers to fully activate the adhesive. After pressure application this forms an incredibly strong permanent bond.
