In summer the pigment powder supercharges on the emitting UV rays from sunlight and makes the pigment REALLY POP ! however in the winter months when there is limited UV in the sun′s rays then it is harder to charge most pigments. This is NOT the case for our New 5th Generation Glow in the Dark pigment, these require LESS UV and will charge with incandescent and LED Cre lighting more efficiently. We use UV Black lights to help charge certain pigments and lower generation powders in the winter months. These are specially designed BLACK LIGHTS you can purchase from stores. LED purple lights do work however their wavelength falls slightly short.
