This R&F Encaustic 333ml Ultramarine Blue paint cake is a wax-based paint that is comprised of beeswax, resin and pigment. It may be melted on a heated palette, then applied to a porous surface. It may also be reheated in order to manipulate and mold the paint. The main ingredient is beeswax, which protects your art work from moisture or other environmental factors. Encaustic paint will not darken or yellow, and does not require the use of solvents. Made by hand in the USA.
