Each canvas is hand-stretched and back stapled to ensure the best tension and present a sleek profile. The tailored corners are uncut and folded for extra cloth availability. Highly-pigmented titanium dioxide gesso primer provides consistent coverage and color performance. The 16.9 oz. canvas features balanced absorbency and tooth to improve adhesion and prevent the sinking of oil colors. All canvases are acid-free and archival. The Traditional Style offers an .82 in. profile. If the stretcher bar length is 12 in. or longer, the canvas includes 4 of the new Winsor & Newton Pro-Stretchers for precise adjustable tension and ease of use.
